In a recent episode of Crypto and Wealth Mastery, 3iQ CEO Pascal St-Jean sat down with host Jake Claver to discuss their latest achievement, the launch of 3iQ XRP ETF. The conversation also explored broader trends in digital assets, how regulation is evolving, and why now is a pivotal moment for long term investors.

Why XRP and Why Now

Pascal emphasized that 3iQ’s decision to launch an XRP ETF was based on market demand, regulatory clarity, and XRP’s position as one of the most established blockchain assets.

“The regulatory environment in Canada has evolved significantly,” he noted. “The work we’ve done with regulators means there is now a clear framework for these types of products. That has been a game changer.”

Unlike some jurisdictions where uncertainty still surrounds digital assets, Canada’s principles based regulatory model allows companies to innovate while maintaining high standards. As a result, products like XRPQ offer investors exposure to the crypto market through structures they already understand.

Importantly, Pascal clarified that 3iQ’s product strategy focuses on proven digital assets with real use cases. “We are not interested in chasing the latest meme coin,” he said. “Our focus is on building products that offer meaningful, long-term value.”

The Institutional Shift Has Already Started

Beyond individual products, Pascal believes the crypto market is entering a new phase of maturity, one that mirrors the early years of the internet.

“We are in what I call the slowly, then suddenly moment,” he explained. “The hype cycle has passed, and now institutions, governments, and banks are building the infrastructure that will support digital assets for decades to come.”

Pascal compared today’s market to the period following the dot-com bubble of the early 2000s. While speculation initially dominated headlines, the real winners emerged quietly as companies like Google, Amazon, and YouTube built the foundation of the modern internet.

“In 2003, people thought they had missed out on Google when it went public,” Pascal said. “But in reality, that was just the beginning.”

He believes the same is true for digital assets today. With growing institutional participation and clearer regulatory frameworks, now is the time for investors to identify the long-term winners.

Picking the Winners Requires Research

Pascal stressed that for investors willing to do their homework, the winners in the digital asset space are already becoming clear.

“You can see where the activity is happening, which partnerships are forming, which institutions are adopting specific technologies,” he explained. “The opportunities are there if you know where to look.”

Rather than chasing speculative trends, Pascal encouraged investors to focus on projects with strong fundamentals, transparent governance, and real world use cases.

Strong Early Demand for XRPQ

The market response to 3iQ’s XRP ETF reflects this growing interest in regulated, accessible crypto products. Within the first few days of trading, the fund attracted approximately 32 million Canadian Dollars in inflows , following a similar pattern to the firm’s successful Solana ETF launch.

“Early demand has been promising,” Pascal shared. “We are seeing good traction, and as awareness grows, we expect that to continue.”

Building Beyond ETFs

Looking ahead, 3iQ’s ambitions extend beyond single asset ETFs. The firm is developing diversified index products, institutional grade DeFi infrastructure, and custom solutions for wealth managers and financial advisors seeking crypto exposure without compromising oversight.

“Our goal is to create building blocks that allow institutions to participate in this space in a secure, compliant way,” Pascal explained.
